Red_panda has surprised industry watchers by climbing rapidly to the top of Arena’s leaderboard with a notable 72% win rate. This means it has been chosen 72% of the time over its competitors in image battles, indicating strong user preference or perceived quality. At one point, the win rate was reportedly even higher at 79%, as noted by Artificial Analysis.
Speculation abounds about the origins of red_panda. Some commenters on Artificial Analysis theorise it might be an updated version of existing tools such as Midjourney or an offering from Baidu, although the creator’s identity remains undisclosed. The model distinguishes itself with the highest ELO rating within the platform’s data pool and boasts a swift image generation time of seven seconds. However, other details such as cost per image remain unknown, fuelling further curiosity.
User engagement has revealed various insights about the new tool. One individual, who tested the system by participating in the voting process, noted that red_panda appeared in their personal leaderboard twice out of 60 choices, initially maintaining a perfect win rate. However, as the selection process continued, this dropped to 61% with 11 total selections. During this period, two versions of another model, FLUX, dominated their personal leaderboard. Notably, these versions also hold the second and third spots on the global rankings.
