The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has announced a recruitment drive for 90 apprentice positions aimed at graduates and diploma holders under the Apprentices Act, 1961. These positions are specifically for the North Eastern Region of India. The recruitment is part of AAI’s initiative for the 2024-2025 period, providing opportunities in locations such as Assam, Agartala, Imphal, Shillong, Dimapur, Tezu, Lengpui, and Hollongi.
This programme targets individuals with a four-year engineering degree or a three-year engineering diploma in relevant fields. These qualifications must be recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or the Government of India (GOI). The age criteria set for applicants is between 18 and 26 years.
The selection process for these positions includes an interview, followed by a meticulous document verification phase. The final appointment of candidates will depend not only on their interview performance but also on their ability to provide a valid Medical Fitness Certificate, ensuring they meet the physical health standards required by the AAI.
This recruitment initiative is part of the Airport Authority of India’s efforts to foster talent and skills within the region, providing practical experience and exposure to young engineering professionals. The vacancies span a variety of locations in the North Eastern states, which underlines AAI’s commitment to integrating regional development with national growth strategies.
Applicants are encouraged to ensure they meet all the eligibility criteria before applying. The detailed procedure for application and the necessary documents required for verification will be stipulated in the official notifications by AAI. The initiative offers an opportunity for young engineers to contribute to the expanding aviation sector in the region, benefiting from the hands-on experience that apprenticeships offer.
