The Sun and ImagineFX introduce exciting competitions aimed at engaging the public and encouraging creativity, with opportunities for UK and Republic of Ireland residents, as well as global artists.

The Sun and ImagineFX Announce Engaging Competitions for the Public

Two prominent media outlets, The Sun and ImagineFX magazine, have unveiled unique competitions aimed at engaging the public with their diverse offerings. The competitions run by these organisations are designed to encourage participation from residents of the UK and the Republic of Ireland, as well as artists globally, through various creative avenues.

The Sun’s Poll Promotions

The Sun, under its publisher News Group Newspapers Ltd, has initiated a series of promotions featuring poll questions across different themes such as TV, Travel, Sport, and News. The promotions are scheduled to commence at 10:00 am (UK time) on 2 December 2024, and close at 10:00 am (UK time) on 3 February 2025, depending on the category. These promotions offer residents of the UK and the Republic of Ireland the chance to win a £100 Amazon gift voucher. However, employees of the promoter and associated companies, as well as individuals under 18, are ineligible.

Participants can take part by correctly answering poll questions and submitting entry forms on The Sun’s website. The winner is determined through a random selection process from all valid entries. The prize is strictly a £100 Amazon gift voucher and cannot be exchanged for cash, nor is it transferable to another person. Winners are notified within 14 days after the promotion ends, and a second winner may be selected if the original winner does not claim their prize or cannot be contacted.

ImagineFX’s Monthly Art Challenge

ImagineFX magazine has launched an Art Challenge, inviting artists worldwide to express their creativity by creating artworks based on a monthly theme. For the upcoming challenge, the theme invites artists to depict four fairies inspired by the classical elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. Entrants should submit their work by 25 November 2024, tagging their entries with #IFXfairies on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, and Threads.

Participants are required to create original artwork without using AI technology, and they must provide process images to verify their creative process. ImagineFX emphasises that the challenge focuses on creativity and participation rather than competition, thus there are no winners or losers.

The magazine will select some of the artworks for feature in future editions, although it does not offer monetary compensation for use of the illustrations. ImagineFX assures artists that the submitted works remain their property, and any featured work will be subject to a non-exclusive licence agreement.

Both The Sun and ImagineFX ensure the protection of participants’ personal data, adhering strictly to their respective privacy policies.

These competitions provide unique platforms for public interaction and creativity, each fostering engagement through specific interests – one through knowledge-based questions and the other through artistic expression.
