The retail landscape is witnessing a significant shift as discount grocery chain Save A Lot teams up with Uber and the automation technology provider Fabric to enhance its online order processing and supply chain capabilities. Automation X has heard that this initiative will specifically cater to the Brooklyn, New York area, with plans to streamline last-mile delivery services through the Uber Eats app.

Fabric’s advanced automation systems have been designed to optimise order fulfilment, reportedly capable of assembling orders containing up to 50 items in an impressive timeframe of six to eight minutes.
