Q-SYS strengthens its technology vision with the appointment of Christopher Jaynes as Chief Technology Officer and Jason Shangkuan as Chief Digital Officer, aiming to enhance innovation and customer interactions.
Q-SYS, a prominent player in the audio, video, and control solutions industry, has announced significant changes in its leadership team with the appointment of Christopher Jaynes as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Jason Shangkuan as the Chief Digital Officer (CDO). These pivotal appointments indicate Q-SYS’s dedication to advancing its technology and digital transformation efforts.
Jaynes transitions from his previous role as Senior Vice President of Software Technologies, a position he held since joining Q-SYS in 2023. His new responsibilities as CTO include leading the company’s R&D spanning software, hardware, mechanical, test, and systems engineering sectors. His proven track record at Q-SYS includes enhancing the quality of software, advancing artificial intelligence research, and optimising technology delivery. Jaynes expressed enthusiasm for his new role, emphasising the importance of integrating software and hardware seamlessly to deliver exceptional product outcomes.
Joining Q-SYS as CDO, Jason Shangkuan brings extensive experience from McKinsey & Company, where he led digital and AI practices. His expertise will be crucial in driving the company’s digital transformation, modernising data infrastructures, and leveraging AI for new growth opportunities. Shangkuan is set to guide the company toward a future increasingly involving software and cloud solutions. He aims to create significant business value and enrich customer interactions through AI-enabled solutions.
Jatan Shah, President of QSC, the parent company of Q-SYS, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointments, highlighting the duo’s potential to enhance Q-SYS’s product development capabilities in alignment with the company’s growth strategy.
In addition to these leadership updates, Q-SYS continues to expand its technological offerings. September saw Brompton Technology join the Q-SYS Technology Program, contributing an advanced LED controller plugin. Brompton Technology, known for its top-notch LED video processing solutions, integrated the Brompton Tessera LED Controller Plugin with the Q-SYS Ecosystem. This integration is part of Q-SYS’s efforts to foster collaboration between software and hardware manufacturers, facilitating seamless, cloud-manageable solutions for users.
Further adding to the ecosystem, Sennheiser introduced a control plugin for their TeamConnect Ceiling Medium (TCC M), enhancing interoperability with the Q-SYS platform. Released last month, this plugin passed Q-SYS’s stringent testing and has been made available in the Q-SYS Designer Asset Manager. This certified integration ensures users have access to reliable, high-functioning solutions across their audio, video, and control systems.
Additionally, June saw significant upgrades to Q-SYS Reflect, the company’s cloud-based monitoring and management system. These updates enhance the system’s capability to allow users efficient deployment and scalability of their AV solutions by integrating AI, data analytics, and cloud-based architecture. This allows for optimised system performance and fortified management and monitoring capabilities.
Through strategic leadership appointments and ongoing collaborations with top technology firms, Q-SYS reiterates its commitment to innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions to its customers. These developments underline the company’s focus on sustaining growth and enhancing technological integration across its platforms.
