Miro introduces its latest product, Innovation Workspace, an AI-driven platform designed to transform workplace management and boost team collaboration, featuring a canvas-first approach and over 150 integrations.
Miro, the company renowned for its digital whiteboard solutions, has launched a new AI-powered platform named Innovation Workspace, aimed at transforming workplace management and enhancing team collaboration and productivity. This release marks Miro’s most significant product innovation since it entered the market in 2012.
The Innovation Workspace is designed to streamline the entire innovation cycle, providing an integrated approach from ideation and research through to prototyping and execution. Andrey Khusid, co-founder and CEO of Miro, outlines the platform’s purpose as addressing common organisational challenges including scattered work processes, communication gaps, and delayed decision-making. These issues often hinder team innovation and productivity.
Miro’s latest offering prioritises a canvas-first methodology, a move that sets it apart from other productivity apps which often focus on document or task management. This approach is exemplified by the platform’s ability to support a variety of media formats such as text, images, videos, and audio. The canvas facilitates smooth transitions between creative, unstructured work and more structured tasks like documentation and task tracking, underpinning its utility across diverse work scenarios.
Miro has integrated AI features within Innovation Workspace to hasten these processes. Notable new features include AI-powered Sidekicks and Intelligent Templates, alongside foundational capabilities for structured documents and tables. A central component of this is the ‘Spaces’ hub, which consolidates a project’s critical tasks and assets, streamlining access and ensuring all team members have a unified understanding and context.
Furthermore, the platform has been designed to be adaptable to an organisation’s existing technological infrastructure, supporting more than 150 integrations with tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Adobe Express. Miro’s Innovation Workspace also introduces composable workflows, with elements like the Canvas SDK and intelligent widgets, offering customisation to enhance teamwork efficiency and interaction.
For effective communication, whether synchronous or asynchronous, the platform allows for streamlined video calls and catch-up sessions directly on the canvas. This functionality ensures that teams can maintain momentum in decision-making processes.
Security has also been prioritised with the inclusion of Miro Enterprise Guard within the Innovation Workspace. This feature provides automatic identification and classification of sensitive information, employing advanced data discovery tools to protect critical organisational data.
Jeff Chow, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Miro, elaborated on the vision behind the platform, emphasizing the canvas as an infinite, flexible space conducive to innovation without limitations. With the Innovation Workspace, Miro aims to consolidate its position as a key player in the collaborative working environment, promising a more efficient route from conception to outcome for teams worldwide.
