This novel initiative, developed in collaboration with Adobe Firefly, offers athletes the opportunity to express their personal style through a user-friendly design experience available on Gatorade.com.

The new feature, revealed at the Adobe MAX 2024 Creativity Conference, represents a significant advancement in product personalisation by harnessing the capabilities of Adobe’s generative AI models. Athletes can now design their unique Gatorade Squeeze Bottles through an array of customisation options that are both safe for commercial use and unlimited in scope. By entering preferences related to sports, design, or hobbies, users can choose from a wide selection of colours, themes, and vibes to create a bottle that reflects their individuality.

Gatorade has joined forces with Work & Co, a digital product agency under Accenture Song, to seamlessly integrate this AI-powered experience into its website. This collaboration ensures that the tool is intuitive and easy for all users, allowing them to realise their creative visions effortlessly.

Speaking at the conference, Xavi Cortadellas, Gatorade’s Senior Director of Marketing, Athletic Equipment, highlighted Gatorade’s commitment to leading the industry in product personalisation. He emphasised that this AI tool offers athletes a fun and approachable way to personalise their equipment, thereby enhancing their athletic experience. Leon Imas, Vice President of Design at PepsiCo, added that the feature aims to make athletes feel like professionals, providing a platform for them to create uniquely styled bottles that are distinctly Gatorade.

The initiative comes with the backing of Hannah Elsakr, Vice President at Adobe, who applauded Gatorade’s innovative approach to customer experience personalisation. By employing Adobe Firefly Services, the company is setting a new standard for industry engagement and loyalty through individualised product design.

Available exclusively through the free membership platform Gatorade iD, the customisation initiative encourages user engagement by offering two free design creations, after which members can use loyalty points to generate additional designs. Each design is saved to the user’s profile for future access. Customers can create and purchase their personalised Gatorade Squeeze Bottle for $34.99.

As athletes increasingly seek tailor-made experiences, Gatorade is one of the first brands to deliver an AI-driven personalisation solution that is scalable and accessible.
