Cruise Planners Unveils Innovative AI and Tech Tools Amidst Hurricane Concerns
The CP World Convention, hosted by Cruise Planners at the Broward County Convention Center, was marked by the launch of groundbreaking technological advancements designed to enhance the operations of travel advisors. Despite the looming threat of Hurricane Milton approaching Florida’s Gulf Coast, the convention drew a keen audience eager to witness the unveiling of these cutting-edge tools.
Among the prominent innovations introduced was the Ask Maxx AI-Powered Personal Assistant, a highlight of the event. Ask Maxx distinguishes itself from other AI tools such as Toby AI or ChatGPT by being tailored specifically for Cruise Planners advisors. Unlike traditional AI, it is adept at analysing data ingrained within Cruise Planners’ proprietary systems, providing precise and prompt responses. This functionality enables travel advisors to quickly obtain information on partners, destinations, and sailings, significantly reducing the time required for data retrieval.
Brian Shultz, CIO of Cruise Planners, expressed the potential of Ask Maxx, highlighting that the tool currently operates in four main areas, with plans to expand its capabilities further. “We want to enrich it with more personalized features for the advisors,” said Shultz. The tool’s development incorporates feedback from former travel advisors, ensuring its relevance and practical application.
Michelle Fee, Founder and CEO of Cruise Planners, elaborated on the evolution of their AI tools, recalling the introduction of Maxx Intelligence, an AI tool integrated with ChatGPT functionalities tailored for Cruise Planners. Ask Maxx, she mentioned, propels their technological edge further. Fee noted, “Ask Maxx provides us with a robust platform to innovate continually, adding new layers of functionality year after year.”
In addition to Ask Maxx, the convention showcased several other tools aimed at streamlining travel advisors’ workflows. The Vax Integration tool, for instance, allows advisors to effortlessly import bookings from VAX VacationAccess into CP Maxx, thereby eliminating the tedium of manual data input. Once bookings are integrated, they can be managed directly within CP Maxx.
Maxx Snippets was another crowd-pleasing innovation, enabling advisors to compile a library of frequently used text blocks, facilitating faster and consistent communication. This feature allows advisors to share snippets within their franchise, bringing efficiency to routine tasks. Additionally, Maxx Shortcuts offers advisors the ability to bookmark favourite tools and reports for quick access within the CP Maxx system.
Michelle Fee remarked on the company’s commitment to leveraging technology for the benefit of its advisors, stating, “Our focus on innovation is about giving our advisors the tools to excel by making their day-to-day tasks more efficient, so they can concentrate on their passion—crafting unique travel experiences for their clients.”
The new suite of tools, introduced amidst the backdrop of an impending natural disaster, underscored Cruise Planners’ dedication to pushing technological boundaries within the travel industry. These developments promise to equip travel advisors with improved resources to enhance both their efficiency and service to clients.
