Additionally, Joule’s generative AI capabilities will recommend buying bundles and generate comprehensive supplier summaries, illustrating a step towards smarter procurement processes.

In the realm of human resources and contract management, Joule will support users of SAP Fieldglass solutions by expediting labor-intensive hiring tasks and service requests. The copilot will be able to suggest optimal templates for creating job postings and statements of work (SOWs), automatically populating fields with relevant information like start dates and requisite skills.

Logistics and supplier management stand to benefit as well, with Joule enhancing SAP Business Network functionalities. The generative AI will categorize unstructured invoice rejection errors to deliver actionable insights that can reduce exception-handling costs. Furthermore, SAP Business Network Discovery will leverage generative AI to align suppliers with emerging business opportunities, optimizing vendor relationships.

The rollout of Joule is already underway in SAP Ariba solutions, with an extension to SAP Fieldglass solutions and SAP Business Network anticipated by the fourth quarter of 2024.
