Shanghai, China – October 2024: Huawei has laid out an ambitious roadmap to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across various industries, aiming to drive global sector transformation. The three-day event, held in Shanghai, drew more than 20,000 attendees and featured a keynote speech by Eric Xu, Huawei’s Deputy Chairman and Rotating Chairman. Major Computing Innovations: Kunpeng and Ascend

David Wang, Huawei’s Executive Director of the Board, further elaborated on the company’s significant computing businesses: Kunpeng for general-purpose computing and Ascend for AI. As per Wang, Ascend is at the forefront of innovations in AI models and applications, whereas Kunpeng has seen widespread adoption across various industries. Huawei reports collaboration with 7,600 partners and 6.35 million developers, resulting in over 20,000 industrial solutions.

Wang highlighted the ongoing digital transformation across numerous industries, presenting unprecedented opportunities. “We want to work with customers and partners to build powerful infrastructure,” he emphasised, adding that such collaborations could bridge the digital divide and facilitate rapid digital adoption for more customers.
