Mumbai, November 06, 2024: In an era where artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and digital transformation are reshaping the business landscape, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has announced a pivotal initiative to equip business leaders with the necessary skills to navigate these changes. IIMK, ranked third among Indian management institutions according to the NIRF 2024, has partnered with Emeritus to introduce a new batch of its Senior Management Programme (SMP), set to commence on December 30, 2024.

The initiative comes as businesses worldwide face mounting pressure to adapt to technological advances, as suggested by McKinsey’s Global Survey on Digital and AI Transformation 2024. The survey indicates that nearly half of executives believe their organisations must undergo a digital reinvention within the next three years to remain competitive. This context underscores the pressing need for leaders who can guide their organisations through the complexities of a rapidly changing digital landscape.

Aimed at senior executives, mid-level managers, and ambitious business leaders, IIMK’s Senior Management Programme focuses on instilling strategic leadership, enhancing digital transformation capabilities, and boosting operational excellence. The curriculum covers an array of critical subjects, including Strategic Leadership, AI and Digital Transformation, Financial Analysis, Competitive Strategy, and Corporate Finance. Participants will engage in a 6-day campus immersion at IIM Kozhikode itself, an opportunity designed to foster interaction with the esteemed faculty and collaboration with peers. A capstone project, guided by faculty members, allows for practical application of the skills learned, ensuring participants gain hands-on experience in strategic decision-making relevant to real-world scenarios.

Data from PwC’s 27th Annual Global CEO Survey further emphasizes the importance of such programmes, highlighting that over 70% of CEOs globally are prioritizing AI integration into their businesses. The Senior Management Programme is tailored to meet this demand, producing leaders capable of blending digital agility with strategic foresight.

Director of IIM Kozhikode, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, stated, “Our Senior Management Programme is specially crafted to address the urgent need for leaders adept at navigating the digital era. By focusing on strategic foresight and AI integration, we aim to furnish our participants with the skills required to foster sustainable growth.”

The programme, which has already benefitted over 750 professionals across 15 batches, aims to facilitate the transition of participants into leadership roles across various sectors.
